About Snowshoeing

Our mountains are sacred it is where our strongest medicines are gathered. Our ancestors and people have travelled these mountains for millenia, to trade and visit our relatives. We invite you to join us on a snowshoe experience exploring the sub alpine, flora and fauna while we share the stories of our people.

Experience

Cultural focus: Indigenous ecological and sustainability practices in the sub alpine

Duration: 3- 3.5 hours

Guided tour: Indigenous Cultural Guide Ambassador, Indigenous tea and snack

Accessibility: Moderate to intermediate fitness level is required

Rates

$150 Adult, $120 Youth

  • Includes snowshoe rentals

  • GST (5%) applied at payment

  • Meeting location: Sea to Sky Gondola

    Your guide will meet you up on top at the entrance to the Panoramic trail. You will need to get your ticket to catch the gondola ride.

  • Meeting location: Black Mountain Lodge (located near Lot 1) outside in front of the Brown Room at Cypress Mountain. (map)

What to bring

  • Hiking Boots (ankle high)

  • Water resistant pants

  • Warm Winter Jacket

  • Gloves and Toque

  • Water bottle and snacks

  • Extra dry clothes

  • If weather is extreme with respect to rain or wind we will contact you to reschedule your experience

Guest protocol

  • Tours start promptly

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start

  • Late guests or missed tours are not reimbursed

  • 72 hours cancellation notice prior to tour is required and a 20% administration fee applies

  • Cancellations with less than the required notice are 100% non-refundable
