Spoken Treasures

Historical walking tour through Indigenous eyes

About Spoken Treasures

This place has been the home to our peoples and tribes for thousands of years and we are happy to share our rich history with you. This experience highlights the unique Indigenous stories, oral history and perspectives of our experiences with the explorers, traders, settlers as well as the current aspects of our tribal communities today.

Our tour guide Patrick introduced Stanley Park’s history and what landmarks symbolize. He described the art works, told stories, and shared his knowledge. He asked if we have specific topics that we want to cover. I expanded my understanding, and I’m encouraged to learn more.
